Where our First Flight follows the clock, this box follows the map. Five loose leaf teas gathered from five different landscapes: Masala Chai from India’s monsoon valleys — bold Assam leaf and whole spices, born to be simmered with milk until the kitchen smells like a Mumbai morning; High Mountain Oolong from Taiwan’s cloud-wrapped peaks, glossy pearls tasting of alpine flowers and cool cream; White Peony from Fujian’s spring gardens, soft, peachy, and endlessly forgiving; Peppermint & Fresh Herbs, the coolest corner of the garden, crisp enough to reset any afternoon; and Fruit & Berry, a ruby-red orchard in a glass — lovely hot, unbeatable iced.
Between them they cover every mood the weather can throw at you: warming and cooling, caffeinated and naturally caffeine-free, winter’s coziest pot and summer’s brightest pitcher. Each pouch holds 100g of whole-leaf tea — 40+ cups apiece, with the oolong unfurling through four or five steeps. And not a single tea repeats from the First Flight, so the two boxes together map nearly the whole Hive.
ABOUT 5*100g LOOSE LEAF Sample Pack
If the First Flight answers “where do I start?”, this box answers a different question: “what else is out there?” It’s built on contrast — five teas chosen because no two of them do the same job. One warms a winter evening, one cools a summer afternoon; one is simmered on the stove, one is poured over ice; three carry caffeine, two carry none at all. Foragers range widely and bring back the best of every landscape — this is that idea, in loose leaf.
The five, and how to meet them:
Masala Chai — bold Assam and whole-cut spices: cardamom, ginger, cinnamon, clove, black pepper. Don’t steep it — simmer it, a few minutes in a small pot of water and milk, sweetened to taste. The box’s coziest ritual.
High Mountain Oolong — Taiwan’s summit tea, rolled into glossy pearls that taste of alpine flowers and fresh cream. Water around 95°C, short repeated steeps — and watch the pearls unfurl back into whole sprigs, four or five rounds from one spoonful.
White Peony — Fujian’s beloved white: silvery buds and soft leaves, peachy, honeyed, nearly impossible to get wrong. Around 85°C, 3–4 minutes, and it happily gives a second and third steep.
Peppermint & Fresh Herbs — cool, bright, and naturally caffeine-free. Water just off the boil, five minutes; one spoonful chills an entire pot. The after-dinner reset, wonderful iced.
Fruit & Berry — hibiscus, rosehip, and real orchard fruit, glowing ruby in the glass. Full boil and a generous 8–10 minutes — it cannot turn bitter. Brew it double-strength over ice in summer, and spoon the leftover warm fruit over yogurt. Caffeine-free, family-approved.
Each pouch holds 100g of whole-leaf tea — 40+ cups apiece, more than 200 across the box before the oolong starts its encores. Let the seasons steer you: chai when the windows fog, iced fruit when they’re flung open, the mountain pearls whenever you’ve earned a slow hour. This is exactly how a sample pack should be. I got to try a white peony, a sencha, an Assam, a jasmine green and an oolong – pretty much every type of tea covered. The leaves were all fresh and didn’t have that stale smell some shops’ tea has.

Honestly the best money I’ve spent!! Got Dragon Tea, a sencha, a white peony, a jasmine green and an Earl Grey. I’d never have tried half of them on my own but now Dragon Tea is my total favorite. Leaf quality across all five was fresh and consistent. Shipping took 3 days which was quick!
