Kenya Purple represents one of the tea world’s newest treasures, harvested from a rare purple-leafed cultivar that thrives in the volcanic soils and fierce equatorial sunshine of the Kenyan highlands. The striking violet leaves owe their color to anthocyanins — the same pigments that paint blueberries and blackcurrants — which the plant produces as natural sunscreen against the intense high-altitude light. That unusual chemistry carries into a cup unlike anything else in the Hive: light and silky, gently sweet, with soft plum-and-berry notes and the faintest violet tint in the liquor.

I ordered a few other teas. None of them were purple tea. I’d never really been into unusual teas before. This came as one of my samples. I absolutely love it! It was exactly the flavor I was after! I never imagined I’d buy purple tea but I’m adding a big bag to my cart today!

A really dependable tea
This has turned into my absolute go-to tea. The flavor is so consistent every time – you know exactly what you’re getting, which is awsome when you want a reliable everyday cup.What I really love is the gentle, slightly fruity finish that tastes completly natural, not artificial like some flavored teas can be. It’s perfect for a wrok-day afternoon break when I want something nice but not too intense. The leaf qualty is amazing too, you can tell this is premium tea. Every batch I’ve received has tasted exactly the same, which shows they really care about consistency. Delivery was quick as always and they added jellybeans again which always makes me smile! Can’t recommend it enough for anyone after a dependable, well-balanced tea.

I’ve been drinking loose leaf tea for about 2 years now and this Kenya Purple Tea from this shop is easily one of my favorites. What I love about Kenyan teas is their wonderful quality and consistency. This one has become my daily pick thanks to its freshness and lovely leaf.
The quality really shines next to other teas I’ve tried. It’s gentle enough that I’d suggest it to anyone new to loose leaf, yet the careful processing makes it a hit with seasoned tea drinkers too.
Shipping from this shop is always quick and they added free samples again which is great. The tea is just as good every time I order. It’s become my go-to tea for every day. Highly recommend!

Most consistent tea around
After my first order the shop sent me a sample of their Kenya Purple. What a great tea. I also think the tea here is the most flavorful and consistent I’ve found. Whenever I buy tea from other places or at different times, it’s always hit or miss. This shop is always so consistent with their teas. The other thing I love is the packaging. They really go above and beyond with it. The big 1 kg bag shows up as a solid “brick”, vacuum sealed. So cool. LOL. They always add a sample and even some candy. Whoop! Order from here.

amazing quality and low prices
I’ve ordered a bunch of different teas from this shop and this one is currently my absolute favorite. I switch between it and one of their black teas, or sometimes blend the two, and it’s exactly the cup I want. This is easily the most flavorful of the 4 or 5 teas I’ve bought. Never Shopping Anywhere Else After This
I just have to share my experience with this shop with everyone! I found them about 2 months ago. I’ve bought tea from lots of different sellers over the past 10 years or so and was searching for the right one for quality and price. When I came across this shop, I figured I had to give them a try. Best decision ever! When I first landed on their website, I emailed them with a bunch of questions before placing my first order. They answered quickly and covered everything I asked. I placed that first order and the rest is history! Over these 2 months I’ve ordered lots of teas from them, including this Kenya Purple Tea, and the quality has been consistently excellent. Shipping is really fast and everything is always packed carefully. On top of that, I get samples of other teas with every order and a few little packs of candy. You can tell they truly care about their customers. I won’t shop anywhere else. Thank you to the whole team for the wonderful service!

Pleasantly Surprised Me
I got this as a free sample. I was honestly pleasantly surprised. The other free sample was a jasmine green tea. Everyone’s taste is different. I’d never tried either of those teas. I ended up buying a large bag of both. I have my Assam & Earl Grey. Now I’ve got these two as well. I’ve been drinking loose leaf tea since 2009. Tried all kinds of online shops & tea stores near me & none of them compare to this one. Every shop I bought from before kept raising prices until I couldn’t afford it anymore, then I’d have to find a new one. Found this shop & haven’t ordered anywhere else since. Hope they stay affordable. I’ve always stuck with English Breakfast & Sencha. Never really branched out. Maybe a few little samples over 17-18yrs. But I never would have found all these other wonderful teas & their flavors without the samples. Really smart idea & approach. It sure worked on me. Among the Best I've Tasted
Fantastic tea, I’ve been drinking specialty teas for years and this Kenya Purple is among the best I’ve had the chance to taste. Great prices, fast shipping, and neat packaging plus candy 😁. Just Found This Shop
Hi all, I just came across this tea shop. I placed an order for their sample pack and I’m waiting for it to show up. I’ll come back and write another review once it arrives. But from the reviews I’ve read and the tea descriptions I’ve seen, I’m already a fan. I’ve been drinking a supermarket black tea but I’m sure there’s something better out there and I’m hoping this Kenya Purple Tea is it. I’m planning to stock up on a big bag and get a free sample too.
